Reviews & verification

RenoLinkUp™ · Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy explains how RenoLinkUp presents company verification information, homeowner reviews and reports.

CaseTrust accreditation is a listing requirement

RenoLinkUp publishes and matches only renovation businesses with active CaseTrust accreditation for renovation businesses. We verify the business against the official CASE/CaseTrust directory and record the source, check date, reference and accreditation expiry. If accreditation expires or cannot be confirmed, the listing is hidden and new matches stop until it is verified again. HDB registration, where required for the work, is a separate check.

What the accredited business must provide

CaseTrust’s renovation scheme requires an accredited business to protect consumer prepayments with a performance bond; use the CaseTrust Standard Renovation Contract; use progressive milestone payments with initial deposit capped at 20%; provide transparent pricing and obtain written agreement for variations; provide a 12-month workmanship warranty under the contract; and maintain a complaint redress process, including CASE mediation if a dispute cannot be resolved. The precise bond protection, protected sum and claims process are set out in the homeowner’s proof of protection and relevant scheme and contract terms.

RenoLinkUp’s role and limits

CaseTrust accreditation is granted and administered by CaseTrust/CASE, not RenoLinkUp. RenoLinkUp does not operate a separate renovation protection fund, issue performance bonds, provide contract review or guarantee workmanship, completion, price or dispute outcomes. Homeowners should confirm the accredited legal entity, bond document and contractual terms before making a payment.

Eligible reviews and moderation

Reviews are accepted only from homeowners with a RenoLinkUp project marked Appointed or Completed and a recorded accepted match with the reviewed company. Each account, which uses one unique email address, may submit one review per company. Reviews enter a moderation queue before publication. We may flag repeated review activity from the same network for an administrator to check; a shared network alone does not prove a fake review and does not automatically block publication. RenoLinkUp may also consider account activity, verified project history, review reports and policy compliance. Companies cannot buy or edit review scores. Administrators may publish, hide or restore content with a recorded reason; they must not fabricate or silently rewrite a homeowner’s review. A company may submit a response that is clearly labelled as its own response.

Reports and disputes

Use the report action on a profile or the lead-problem action in the company portal. Provide a clear explanation and relevant project reference. Authorised administrators review reports and record consequential actions.
